I can hear the unicorns screaming as the moon rises to the clouds like a balloon, high and above the Dark Forest. I've pulled my gloves off, leaving my fingers free to snap against the bitter cold, and the numbness is an odd proof that I'm still alive. The Bright Writes is a community for young writers, artists, and photographers that publishes submitted work and celebrates creative endeavors.
Contests:
Our third contest has begun! Please take a look at the Contest #3 page if you are interested in competing. The deadline is June 1st, 2021.
Submit your own writing, photography, and art pieces:
Genres and Topics:
We acknowledge the fact that not all readers enjoy reading the same form of writing, and for that reason, we have created many sections in which you can find different genres. For any photographers out there, we have a page for you! Submit your photography to be published, just make sure it is appropriate.
On this page, we have placed all of the writing that have been specifically chosen! Winning pieces from contests will also be published here, so please look out for that! There is no specific way that you can land your piece a spot on this page, we will choose it if we think that it will fit well. Keep writing and submitting your work!
Upcoming Events and Updates:
To keep everyone updated on all of our recent changes and additions, we have created an updates page! Soon, we are thinking about launching writing workshops, where users like you can attend to learn some important writing skills. Please stay tuned! Feel free to suggest any additions that you would like through the contact section.
Below are some of our most recent published pieces. Check out our other pages to find them all!

The lulling call of the three feathered globe
Or the tempting shine of the midnight blade.
Rescue by Krishna Vashisht
In a forest, by chance, if you venture
And come across a girl sitting alone.
See tear filled eyes and soaked cheeks,
Just take her to the field where seeds are sown.
Canyon Moon by E.G.S.P.
Write. Scratch. Tear. Crumple. Throw. Repeat.

But the worst thing is that I don't know what to feel anymore. I...
Enjoy this warm, cozy story that is a nice and quiet read. It has the feel of an autobiography, and there will (hopefully) be more parts coming in soon!
