That's right, this website is fully created and operated by teenagers! We hope that this factor helps other young minds feel understood and listened to, since we can relate.
The Bright Writes creates a supportive literary community that invites young writers to share their talents with the world. Whether you are a writer, reader, artist, or photographer, we have something for you. We have opportunities for everyone to share their works, because we believe that it should be recognized. Meet our Editors
Twisha: Co-founder and Editor
She is an avid writer who submits her writing to many places and has been published on TeenInk. Outside of writing, you can find Twisha working on some math (yes, she does enjoy it), creating a piece of art, or reading some novels. Why is she working on this website? Well, as she submitted writing pieces to other platforms, she often found herself waiting too long for a response and not being able to share her work in the way she hoped. Due to that very reason, she decided to work with a fellow writer and friend to start her own platform where she would make the publishing process for other young writers easier and more productive.
Ashley: Co-founder and Editor
Not only is she an amazing writer, but her creativity leads to the birth of amazing doodles and hilarious comics. Not only does she submit her short stories to several platforms, but she has also written for the school newspaper-- publishing some amazing stories for all to see. Outside of writing, Ashley can be found reading "The School of Good and Evil" series, working on some crafts, or having fun video-chatting her friends! Along with all of the above, she loves photography and participates in several competitions. Writing holds a dear place in her heart, and for that very reason, she was inspired and ready to share her talents on a greater level. Appreciating photography as she does, she also wanted to add some of that aspect to this website.
Sophia: Submissions Reviewer
Sophia is a young writer-in-progress (as in she hasn't finished her first novel yet). She is eager to work with Bright Writes and is hoping that more young writers will join our community soon.
